Nachtwandel 2014 - God Save Helvetica

Antighost open its doors for the Nachtwandel crowd

The Nachtwandel has been the main (sub-) cultural event in Mannheim for years. On two days the main street of the infamous Jungbusch area is closed to traffic, there are concerts, art-shows, food stalls and all kinds of other cool stuff and the crowd of Jungbusch regulars – younger folks like punks and hipsters, who usually visit the local bars – are joined by average people from other parts of the city and more and more out-of-towners as well.

Christian and I have been showing our art at various places in previous years. This time we opened our Antighost Siebdruckwerkstatt to the public, to show our GOD SAVE HELVETICA prints alongside our usual mix of my screen printed gigposters and Christian’s artprints. Knowing the Nachtwandel, we expected to attract quite a number of visitors (±2000 over the two days seemed realistic), but what we did not expect was how many people actually were interested in buying our stuff! Wow, we were constantly talking to potential buyers, explaining screen printing techniques, packing prints and well enjoying ourselves!

Thanks everyone who came by, True Cupcakes and our neighbours of Bembel with Care and Raben Engel OdenwälderSee you next year!
