Black Rebel Motorcycle Club fand ich schon immer super und das Lied „Ain’t no easy way“ spiele ich regelmäßig in meinen Shake it Wild DJ Sets. Da freut es mich natürlich ganz besonders die Band beim diesjährigen Maifeld Derby mal live sehen zu können.

Hier ist das Poster das ich zu diesem Anlass gestaltet und gedruckt habe. Ich habe mich für das auf der Hand liegende „Motorrad“ Thema entschieden, war aber statt von den üblichen amerikanischen Harleys eher von  Bosozuku (Japanischen Motorrad Gangs) und Mangas inspiriert.

Das Poster war wieder mal eine neue Herausforderung was Details, Feinheiten, Anzahl der Farben und Farbüberlagerungen angeht und ich bin sehr zufrieden.

I always liked the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and regularly play their song „Ain’t no easy way“ which I happen to own as a 45″ at my Shake it Wild DJ nights at the local pub. So naturally I was happily surprised to see that the band will play at this year’s Maifeld Derby.

Here’s my poster for the show. I wanted to go for the obvious Motorcycle theme, but being inspired by Mangas such as Akira lately and just having seen a documentary on Bosozuku (Japanese Motorcycle Gangs), I made the maybe not so obvious choice of Japanese bikes.

The poster is yet again pushing the envelop for me when it comes to detail, number of screens/colors and overlays and I’m very proud of how it came out.
